Course Equipment List for the following classes:
• NRA Personal Protection Inside the Home
• NRA Personal Protection Outside the Home
• NRA Basic Pistol (Note: We provide the Ammunition & Firearm)
• Illinois Conceal Carry Class
• Advanced Pistol
Firearm – A functional and practical handgun that can be concealed that is chambered in 9mm, .40 cal, 45 ACP, or a common revolver round. If taking Advanced Pistol, a spare weapon system and extra mag is also a must. Each student should have a minimum of 3 working magazines.
• Note pad and pen/pencil
• Clothing suited to strenuous activity as well as being seasonally appropriate
• Appropriate footwear
• Rain gear / cold weather gear (seasonal)
• Ear protection / Eye protection
• Baseball style hat recommended
• Proper belt to support equipment
• A holster and magazine pouch that will retain equipment when moving
A holster is required!!! If you do not have one, you will not shoot
• Tools that work on your weapon (ie; weapons light)
• A cleaning kit with weapons lube that is compatible with your weapon system
• Water hydrating device
• Knee and elbow pads (optional)
• Gloves (optional)
• An open mind
• Handgun in a case (very important to have all firearms in a case at all times and leave in the trunk of your vehicle until instructed otherwise)
• Proof of prior training (For Concealed Carry or Advanced classes)
• Valid FOID card
• Bug spray (sunscreen if needed)
• Lunch (There will be no time to leave for lunch)
• Students provide their own ammo: 150rds minimum
